SEATTLE AUTO SHOW presents the 2014 cars and more
The annual Seattle Auto Show celebrates 90 years of presenting the auto industry’s newest models for 2014. Over 500 cars, trucks, vans, SUV’s, crossovers, exotics and supercars will be displayed October 16–20 at Seattle’s CenturyLink Events Center.
The Seattle Auto Show, presented by State Farm and sponsored by AutoTrader.com, BECU and the Seattle Times, is gearing up for its biggest show in years.
“We’ve added twenty percent more space and we’re completely sold out,” says longtime executive director and show manager Jim Hammond. “We’ve got the latest models from the car makers of the world, plus we’ve added some new features that are very exciting.”
At the top of the new features lineup is a “show within a show” from LeMay – America’s Car Museum. A new display setup in the North Hall of the CenturyLink Field Event Center will house a stunning array of classic vehicles that spans the history of the motorcar.
A counterpoint to the classics will be an estimated 500 new vehicles – cars, trucks, vans, crossovers, SUV’s, hybrids and electrics, exotics and supercars. Many of the manufacturers will be offering test drives of their cars and trucks, including Chevrolet, Buick, Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Ford, GMC trucks, Jeep, Kia, Mazda, Ram, Scion, Subaru and Toyota.
The exotics and supercars will also be out in force, with showstoppers like Lamborghini, Jaguar, Ferrari, Porsche, Maserati, Rolls Royce, Bentley, Lotus, Mercedes Benz, Tesla and Aston Martin.
There will also be plenty of American muscle cars, including the 60th Anniversary Corvette Stingray, the Ford Mustang, the Chevrolet Camaro, the Dodge Challenger and the Cadillac ATS.
Thursday October 17 will launch our first-ever Ladies Day,” says Hammond. “Admission tickets will be discounted down to $10 for women, and we’ll have special demonstrations and gifts from car maintenance experts like Griot’s Garage.”
Griots Garage is also bringing the pride and joy of their extensive collection of motorized classics: the 1975 Formula 1 Ferrari 312T driven by 3‑time F1 Champion Niki Lauda. Along for the ride is another of Griot’s favorites: a 1977 McLaren M23-12 Formula 1 car driven by Jochen Mass. Lauda is featured in the new movie “Rush” about two of the most fascinating and successful F1 racers. READ MORE HERE.
